Welcome folks to this year's Holiday Song Showdown. This is now the 8th crazy season and holiday music has hit the airwaves so Song Showdown is ready to pit the worst, best and the rest of the holiday songs we could muster to find the most popular song of the season.
You'll have right up until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to enter your Top 16 picks for bragging rights. Being that this is the 8th crazy season, we'll do a little extra celebration of the holiday with 8 nights and invite back every Hanukkah song that has been on the showdown before (plus a few new ones!)
In addition to those, we have the Top 16 songs from last year (less the winner) on the list. For the handful of these songs that have been on for three seasons in a row, we've replaced them with alternate versions. In addition to those 15 songs, you'll see the regular mix of great new songs, complete garbage, and the really really weird. Once again, we'll also be doing Wildcards! Four songs will get a second chance to make it back into the Top 32. This gives Top 16 contenders another chance at their songs moving along, and it makes voting (even for a losing song) very important. Defeated songs with the most votes get a chance to make a comeback.
